It has a beautiful cathedral- golden and almost Oriental when seen from the sea. Inner Cádiz is built on a peninsula-island and is known for its grand squares, alleyways and turreted houses. It has two main beaches, the Playa de la Victoria, and the Playa de la Caleta. The city’s atmosphere with its soft limestone is wonderful. Cádiz has striking sea fortifications and waterside alamedas.
